What is isosorbide?
Isosorbide is a type of generic drug, but alsoan active substance converted into nitrate oxide, whose mechanism of action is to serve as a vasodilator of extended-release smooth muscles.
Isosorbide comes commonly as tablets or sublingual tablets of approximately 10 mg to 20 mg, depending on the medications in which it is distributed. The appropriate dose of isosorbide is one tablet or capsule of 10 mg every 2 hours or every 3 hours.
