Febrax® is a medicine belonging to a line of commercial products, developed bySiegfried Laboratories(1), whose active ingredients are paracetamol and naproxen sodium, which provide anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties, in addition to regulating the receptions of thecentral nervous systemthat cause pain.
The drug febrax®, comes in box presentations with tablets of275 mg and 300 mgof the active ingredient, soinitial treatment is recommended with the use oftwo tablets every 6 to 8 hours a day orally.

What is febrax for?
Febrax® is highly recommended to relievesymptoms such asfever, headaches, spontaneous sweating, dehydration, fatigue and muscle weakness.
Febrax® is also prescribed for specific pains such as dysmenorrhea (a type of menstrual crampingthat affects women) and musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinitis, nasal fractures,osteoarthritisand certain contusions.
To highlight: Febrax® is used as a complement for the treatment of these disorders, sinceits analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects are considered positive, even for surgical and postoperative processes.
Febrox Side Effects
Febrax® can have certain adverse effects, which must be taken into account if you want to use the medication. In fact, the use of this drug should be discontinued if you notice the following:
- Nausea and vertigo.
- Colitis _
- Tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
- Skin rashes like hives.
- Conditions such as anemia.

FEBRAX contraindications
It is important to bear in mind that this drug may present unwanted reactions in certain patients, for these reasons febrax® is contraindicated for the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity to the active principle or effects towards acetylsalicylic acid .
- Active peptic ulcer (damage to the lining of the liver).
- Acute gastritis and renal failure.
- Patients with urticaria, liver cirrhosis and rhinitis.
- Children under 2 years.
You should know: The drug febrax® can have a high risk for the fetus during the pregnancy stage, but not during lactation, but for this a prescription or recommendation from your doctor is required.
