Dosage and routes of administration of victan

Victan® is sold in tablets containing ethyl loflazepate 2 mg. The route of administration is oral and the informative dosage may be as follows:

  • Anxiety: In general, the dose is ½ to 1 1⁄2 tablets per day (1 to 4 mg/day), in one or more doses per day.
  • In sleep disorders caused by anxiety: 1 tablet (2 mg), one hour before bedtime.

Victan side effects

Therapeutic treatment with victan® may cause some of the following side effects in a certain patient population:

  • Possible allergic reactions due to contact with any component of the drug.
  • Memory impairment , attention disturbance, and speech disorders.
  • Muscular hypotonia and drowsiness.
  • Asthenia and bradyphrenia.
  • Aggressiveness, excitement, dream confusion syndrome and hallucinations .
  • Physical dependence and withdrawal syndrome.

Contraindications and warnings of the victan

The use of victan® is contraindicated in the following circumstances:

  • In cases of sleep apnea.
  • In minor children.
