What is fenproporex for?
- Fenproporex® has amechanism of action ofanorectic effect, which is a way to suppress appetiteanxietyand decreased desire to eat, by acting on thehypothalamuscenters in thebrainthat stimulate hunger and balance satiety, being idealin a diet for weight losswith complementary exercises.
- It is used to treat:

Dosage and routes of administration of fenproporex
Fenproporex® and its components come exclusively in 10 mg, 20 mg and 30 mg tablets. Also inextended-release tablets, only 20 milligrams in 20 tablets or 30 tablets. Doses of fenproporex® in a treatment are:
- Adolescents: Exclusively for people over 18 years of age, one tablet a day of 20 mg is used for approximately 6 months, preferably it should be consumed before breakfast.
- Adults: A tablet of 20 mg or 30 mg a day is also used for 6 months, with the same modality as before breakfast or lunch, specifically 30 minutes before breakfast.
