What is neuralin?

Neuralin® is a commercial medicine developed byChinoin Laboratories(1). In its composition it has the presence of B vitamins, such as vitamin B1, B6 and B12, thus allowing the reduction of risks due to deficits of this nature and allowing an increase in the energy of the individual.

On the other hand, neuralin® is a medicine that has two types of presentations, the oral route of administration, which are capsules and the solution for injection. The recommended doses are 1to 3 capsules per day in adult patients and in case of the solution for injection, 1 or 2 ampoules a week.

Note: Due to its composition, use and mechanism of action, neuralin®requires a prescription for its acquisition.

What is neuralin for?

The use of neuralin®varies greatly depending on the composition of it, since the capsules have ketoprofen and the solution with dexamethasone phosphate and lidocaine hydrochloride, which makes it a much more effective version. We mention below its main uses:

1. Neuralgia, neuritis, polyneuritis and peripheral neuropathies

This type of conditions or disorders are characterized by intense pain as a result of inflammation of one or more nerves.

To highlight: The application of neuralin® as a treatment reduces symptoms and, due to the presence of thiamine, produces relief and reduces recurrences. (two)

2. Facial paralysis and torticollis

Facial paralysis is the loss of voluntary muscle movement on one side of the face, which can be partial or total. It is usually caused by inflammation of a nerve and the action of the B complex vitamins present in neuralin®, allow the patient to recover,improving the transmission of nerve impulses and their signals . (3)

in addition to reducing the inflammation produced.

3. Low back pain, sciatica, myalgia and tendinitis

In the case of these painful disorders caused by tension, inflammation or injury to tendons and muscles, neuralin® allows the reduction of symptoms and the recovery of tissues, thanks to the presence of B complex vitamins.

side effects of neuralin

All medicines have stipulated possible side effects, which can developduring medical treatment. We mention those of neuralin® below:

  • Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
  • Nervousness, irritability and insomnia .
  • Headache, chills and anxiety.
  • Increased eye pressure and skin rashes.

Important: In case of presenting side effects and they do not disappear when stopping the treatment, it is important to go to medical attention for information.

neuralin contraindications

Contraindications are factors that we must take into account, to avoid the appearance of adverse effects. We mention below those of neuralin®:

  • Do not indicate if there is an allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.
  • Do not indicate if the patient has renal failure, seizures or liver failure.
  • Do not indicate if the patient has heart failure or glaucoma.
  • Do not take doses higher than the maximum, which is 300 mg per day.
  • Do not indicate if pregnancy is suspected or if you are breastfeeding.
  • Do not use the injectable solution in Diabetic Patientstag. In that case treatment with tablets is recommended.
