Flausiver®(1) is a synthetic phlebotropic drug, manufactured byMaver Laboratories(2), which is used to treat the symptoms of circulatory problems such as venous insufficiency. Its active substance is composed of the combination of two drugs (diosmin / hesperidin).
In this sense, diosmin isa venotonic chemical compoundwhose function is to increase the tone of the veins and the resistance of the capillaries. Hesperidin, on the other hand, also has venotonic, vasculoprotective, phlevolytic and antivaricose properties, increasing the permeability of blood vessels.
Note: The mechanism of action of the flausiver® is based on the fact that itacts on the venous wall, increases venous tone, improves and increases circulation.
It should be noted that the commercial presentation of this medicine is intablets of 450 mg and 50mg of diosmin / hesperidin and another of300 mgof the same components. The usual dose of diosmin/hesperidin is900/100 mg per day.

1. Venous insufficiency problems

- Allergic reactions to any of the chemical components of flausiver®.
- Nausea and gastrointestinal discomfort.
- Vomiting , diarrhea and dyspepsia.
Important: If you notice the appearance of any of these adverse reactions or another not included in the list, it is recommended to discontinue the use of the drug and consult your doctor .
Flausiver contraindications
The consumption of drugs in some patients is limited, Due to particular health conditions tag. Being this way, the use of flausiver® is contraindicated in any of the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the components of flausiver®.
- Its use is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, due to the scarcity of data on this subject.
- It should not be administered simultaneously with antacids and alkaline foods.
