Compound® biomesin is a commercial medicine developed byBiomep(1) group laboratories. Its active ingredients are butylhyoscine bromide and metamizole sodium, with ananalgesic and antispasmodic mechanism of action, so it is oriented for the treatment of colic.
Its presentation is in dragees, with concentrations of 10 mg and 250 mg respectively, with recommended doses of 1 every 6 or 8 hours depending on the intensity of the pain. It is not recommended to use as a treatment for long periods of time.
Note: Due to the mechanism of action of this drug, it requires a prescription to be acquired. It is recommended not to self-medicate or exceed the recommended doses.
What is compound biomesin for?

Compound Biomesin Side Effects
All drugs have possible side effects,which can develop during their use in treatments. Those of the compound biomesin® will be mentioned below for your knowledge and contemplation:
- Dry mouth, dizziness and nausea.
- Low blood pressure and skin rashes.
- Vomiting, diarrhea and epigastric pain.
- Dilated pupils and blurred vision.

Compound biomesin contraindications
Contraindications are factors that we must take into account, to Avoid adverse reactionsduring the use of compound biomesin®. They will be mentioned below:
- Do not indicate if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the components of the drug.
- Do not indicate if pregnancy is suspected or if you are breastfeeding.
- Do not indicate if there are cardiovascular disorders.
- Do not indicate if you suffer from increased pressure in the eye.
- Do not indicate in case of asthma or urticaria.
