What is tafitram used for?
- Thanks to the dual mechanism of action of its active ingredients, tafitram® acts mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the central nervous system (CNS), in addition to blocking the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. This combined effect achieves a powerful analgesic action, for the relief of pain in patients of various etiologies.
- It is used to treat:
- Acute and chronic pain from moderate to intense, which have been induced by musculoskeletal-articular conditions.
- Neuropathies, renal colic , postoperative pain, cancer pain or terminal metabolic diseases. (4)
Dosage and routes of administration of tafitram
The presentation of tafitram® is in a box with tablets or tablets, which contain paracetamol DC 90 equivalent to 325 mg of paracetamol, tramadol hydrochloride 37.5 mg. This medication is administered orally and for information purposes the dosage may be as follows:

Tafitram contraindications and warnings
Treatment with tafitram® is contraindicated in any of the following cases mentioned below:
- Patient hypersensitivity to any chemical component of the drug or to opioid drugs.
- Patients suffering from acute intoxication with alcohol, hypnotics, narcotics, centrally acting analgesics, opioids or psychotropic drugs.
- People who are being medicated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
- Severe liver failure.
- In children under 16 years of age.
- During the pregnancy period.
- During breastfeeding .
