Phendex® is the name of a commercial line medication , whose active compounds are hydrocortisone , lidocaine and ciprofloxacin . It has antimicrobial (or antibiotic), antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and even anesthetic properties for hearing treatments thanks to these chemicals.

What is Phendex used for?
- Phendex® is a drug with broad-spectrum antibiotic properties for conditions of the ear or eardrum, as well as analgesic or anesthetic and anti-inflammatory properties, due to the use of a substance belonging to the group of corticosteroids (hydrocortisone) for the immune response with tissue inflammation. - It is used to treat:
- External otitis infections.
- Seborrheic dermatitis infection .
- Ear trauma or itching.
- Infection and extraction of objects in the inner ear.
- Otitis media.
- Bacterial infections through the ear canal.
Dosage and routes of administration of phendex
Phendex® is found in the presentation of a solution , suspension of drops or dropper with 10 ml (with lidocaine, ciprofloxacin, hydrocortisone), with an otic administration. The doses in which it is recommended to use phendex® are the following:
- Adults and children: It is recommended to administer a dose of 3 drops from the bottle in the ears at intervals of 8 hours (3 times a day), for 7 days of treatment.

Phendex® may have certain reactions or adverse effects, some more frequently depending on the interaction with the active metabolites of the formula. Among the most notable are the following:
- Headache (headache).
- abdominal pain
- dizziness
- Nausea.

Contraindications and warnings of phendex
The phendex® is not indicated for a certain population of patients like many drugs, in order to prevent negative interactions that seriously affect the health of the person. Among its best-known restrictions are the following:
- Hypersensitivity to active ingredients.
- Renal insufficiency.
- Open angle glaucoma.
- Pregnancy and lactation .
Avoid if you have:
- Chicken pox symptoms.
- Herpes.
- Otitis suppurada.
- Tuberculous otitis.
Warnings:
- It is preferable to use this medicine under a prescription or medical prescription.
- Use this drug with caution in pregnant women.
- Not recommended for lactose intolerant patients .
- You should keep the medicine out of the reach of children.
