Inhibiron® is the main name of a product and a series of patented drugs, whose chemical composition contains the active principle of omeprazole , with characteristics that give it the function of being an anti-inflammatory at the level of gastric acid and the prevention of heartburn ( for example esophagitis ).

What is the inhibitor used for?
- Inhibiron® contains a high concentration of omeprazole, a type of substance belonging to proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and has a direct mechanism of action on the adenosine enzyme , to reduce gastric acid secretion and also has a certain interaction with antibiotics. It must also be taken into account that the mediators for gastric production or secretion are prostaglandins, acetylcholine and somatostatin. (two)
- It is used to treat:
- Gastric ulcer.
- Duodenal ulcer.
- Reflux esophagitis (gastric reflux).
- Helicobacter pylori peptic ulcer .
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
- Risk of gastropathy.
- Gastric contents during prophylaxis, due to diagnosis of Mendelson’s syndrome.
Dosage and routes of administration of the inhibitron
Inhibitron® has a main box presentation with capsules from 10 mg to 20 mg of omeprazole, with an oral administration route (inhibitron F® and inhibitron Twit® with omeprazole and an addition of sodium bicarbonate), it is also found in the form of solution via injection from 10 ml to 40 ml of omeprazole (inhibitron infusion®). The doses of the drug in the form of capsules are as follows:
- Adults: It is recommended to administer a dose of 1 capsule of 20 mg or 40 mg once a day, with enough water as stipulated in the treatment.
Inhibiron Side Effects
Inhibiron® can bring with it certain adverse effects , some more frequently and others that are less common in different patients, however it is necessary to have sufficient information about their appearance to prevent a risk and maintain control. Among these adverse reactions are:
- Diarrhea .
- constipation _
- Itching.
- Joint pain.
- Drowsiness.

Contraindications and warnings of inhibitron
Inhibiron® is limited to a certain number of patients, in order to preserve the safety of their health status and prevent negative interactions with certain conditions that can have serious consequences. Therefore, the drug is not indicated for:
- Hypersensitivity to omeprazole.
- Liver failure.
- Patients under treatment with the drug atazanavir.
- Patients under treatment with the drug nelfinavir.
Avoid if you have:
- metabolic alkalosis.
- Hypocalcaemia.
Warnings:
- It is preferable to use this product by prescription or medical prescription.
- The drug should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Reserve in a dry place to prevent spoilage.
- Keep stored at room temperature.
