What is the indanet for?
- Thanks to its mechanism of action, indanet® is an in vitro prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor, achieving the same in in vivo tests , and also inhibits leukocyte migration to inflamed areas, alleviating joint ailments in the human body .
- It is used to treat:
- Acute processes accompanied by inflammation and pain in dental surgery, bursitis, tendinitis and synovitis. (two)
- Active stages of osteoarthritis (hands, fingers, coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis and spine), rheumatoid arthritis, moderate or severe juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and acute gout.
- Painful shoulder, low back pain and lumbosciatica.
- PMS, dysmenorrhea , sprains and strains.
Dosage and routes of administration of indanet
Indanet® is sold in capsules with 25 mg of indomethacin . The administration is orally and the informative dosage can be as follows:
- Children over 14 years of age and adults: The dose that is generally recommended is indanet® capsules from 50 mg to 200 mg, dosed in several doses per day according to medical recommendation. In children with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a dose of 1 to 2 mg/kg/day divided into two or three daily doses is recommended.
indanet side effects
Treatment with indanet® can cause some of the following adverse reactions in certain patients :
- Possible allergic reactions due to contact with any component of the formula.
- Nausea, anorexia, vomiting and epigastric discomfort.
- Abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea .
- Ulcers including perforation, bleeding from the esophagus and other digestive tracts.
- Chronic use can cause peptic ulcer .
- Stomatitis, gastritis and flatulence.
- Headache sometimes accompanied by dizziness or lightheadedness.
- Depression , vertigo and fatigue.
- Mental confusion, anxiety and drowsiness.
Important: If any of these symptoms or others not included in this list appear during treatment with indanet®, please stop the administration of this medication and consult your doctor .
Contraindications and warnings of indanet
The use of indanet® is contraindicated in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the formula’s components.
- Patients with active peptic ulcer.
- Patients with pre-existing ulcerative colitis.
- Patients who have presented acute asthmatic attacks, urticaria or rhinitis due to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
- Patients under 14 years of age.
- During the pregnancy period.
- During breastfeeding .
- People with psychiatric conditions, epilepsy or Parkinson’s.
You should know: Provide all the information about your health history to your doctor, before starting treatment with this drug.
Avoid if you have:
- History of hypersensitivity to indomethacin or NSAID-type drugs.
- History of recurrent gastrointestinal ulcerative processes.
Warnings:
- Pharmaceutical products such as indanet®, must be administered with prescription or medical prescription.
- Caution should be exercised in patients with chronic treatments to control liver function or kidney failure, cardiac dysfunction and arterial hypertension or other pathology that favors fluid retention .
- The dose of indanet® must be adjusted individually according to the response and tolerance of each patient.

- Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
- This drug should be used with caution in elderly patients.
