Ilvico®is a synthetic combination medicine, which contains three active ingredients that areparacetamol, caffeine(1) and brompheniramine maleate(2), whichcause an analgesic, antipyretic and antihistamine effecton conditions of influenza origin.

What is the ilvico for?
- The ilvico®serves to relieve symptoms caused by flu, coldsor coldsin the upperrespiratorytract.
- It is used to treat:
- Processes of flu and catarrhal states accompanied byfever, mild or moderate pain and runny nose.
Dosage and routes of administration of ilvico
Ilvico comes in the following forms: ilvico 20 tablets with paracetamol 325 mg, caffeine 30 mg and brompheniramine maleate 3 mg, and ilvico®®® granules for oral solution. The administration isby mouthand the way to take ilvico® is as follows:
- Ilvico® coated tablets:1 tablet every 6 or 8 hours. Do not exceed the dose of 4 tablets every 24 hours.
- Granulated Ilvico®; Adults 1 sachet of 500 mg every 8 hours. Children over 12 years of age, 1 sachet every 8 hours.
Side effects of ilvico
The consumption of ilvico® may cause in certain patients,possible side effectssuch as the following:
- Allergic reactions from contact with any component of the formula.
- Possible dizziness, sedation and hypotension.
- It can alter the rhythm of theheart.
- Diarrhea, abdominal pain andconstipation.
- Pupil dilation, blurred vision and dry eye.
- Alterations in intellectual capacity and fatigue may occur.
- Sometimes headache, seizures, and increased respiratory secretions.
Important: If any of these adverse reactions appear, discontinue use and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications and warnings of ilvico
ilvico® is contraindicated in the following circumstances:
- In patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components.
- During pregnancy or lactation.
- In children under 12 years of age.
- In patients with liver or kidney disease.
- In patients older than 65 years.
- In people with ulcers in the stomach or intestine.
You should know: It is recommended that you provide your doctor with information regarding your health history before starting treatment with ilvico®.
Avoid if you have:
- Medication with other medications.
- Anemia.
- Any thyroid or stomach disease.
- Medication with central nervous system depressant drugs. system depressant drugs.
- Diabetes or some heart disease.
Warnings:
- This medicine should not be taken with alcoholic beverages, as it can cause liver damage.
- In case of overdose, go immediately to a health center.
- You should be especially careful when taking ilvico® with other medicines used for other pathologies.
- The contents of the container should be kept in a dry and cool place.
- It is recommended to have more information, read the communication of adverse effects in the technical data sheet of the product.
- The consumption of ilvico® with other foods that are a source of caffeine is not recommended.
- It is advisable to review the therapeutic strategy, if there is no improvement after 5 days of treatment.
