What is fabroven?

Fabroven® is the name of a commercial line medicine , composed of three active principles that are ascorbic acid (vitamin C), the extract of “Ruscus Aculeatus” and hesperidin, which combined have antioxidant , anti-vasoconstrictor and anti-inflammatory properties . .

What is the fabroven used for?

  • Fabroven® has a mechanism of action, which consists of serving as an antagonist of alpha adrenergic receptors (receptors that cause narrowing of blood vessels), therefore it is a combination of metabolites intended to create cardiovascular protection against diseases arterial. 
  • It is used to treat: 

Dosage and routes of administration of fabroven

Fabroven® comes in boxes, with 18 capsules up to 60 hard capsules (150 mg, 150 mg and 100 mg) whose route of administration is oral , as well as 100 mg creams whose uses are topical. The doses of fabroven® in capsules are as follows:

  • Venous insufficiency: Administer one 400 mg capsule during treatment 2 to 3 times daily.
  • Hemorrhoids: Administer a 400 mg capsule in treatments 4 to 6 times a day with plenty of water.

Fabroven® is a medicine that can bring with it different adverse effects, some more frequently and others that appear very rarely during treatment with this drug. The most notorious adverse manifestations or symptoms are the following:

Contraindications and warnings of fabroven

Fabroven® is contraindicated for a certain patient population, as they may react negatively during treatment with this medication. Therefore, it is not recommended in the following cases:

  • Thalassemia ( anemia disorder ).
  • Hemochromatosis (excess iron in the body).

Avoid if you have:

  • Chronic diarrhea.
  • Episodes of attacks on hemorrhoids.
  • Allergy to ascorbic acid.
