What is dropropizine?

Dropropizineis a synthetic drug classified as an active ingredientby medical science, which belongs to the line of drugs with antitussive effect, against cough of any etiologywithout affecting thecentral nervous system(1)

What is dropropizine for?

Dosage and routes of administration of dropropizine

Dropropizine is sold in theform of a syrup, with a concentration of dropropizine 300 mg in a bottle of 120 ml. Theroute of administration is oraland the dose for informational purposes may be as follows:

  • Children 2 to 5 years of age: 2.5 ml three times a day.
  • Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 5 ml three times a day.
  • Children over 12 years of age and adults: 10 ml every 8 hours.
