Dosage and routes of administration of danzen
Danzen® comes in boxes of 20 tablets of 5 mg and 10 mg with enteric coating and the route of administration is oral. The dose as an informative reference is the following:
- Children from 5 to 12 years: 1 tablet of 5 mg, 3 times a day (every 8 hours) with water.
- Adults: 2 tablets of 5 mg, 3 times a day or 1 tablet of 10 mg, 3 times a day with water, at the discretion of the treating physician.

Treatment with danzen® can cause certain adverse effects in some people that can deteriorate their health and which we mention below:
- Nausea and vomiting .
- Liver dysfunction.
- Stevens-Johnson syndrome (serious disorder of the skin and mucous membranes).
- Skin rash and epidermal necrolysis (blistering and peeling on the skin).
Important: In case of presenting any of the aforementioned reactions, it is recommended to stop treatment with danzen® and consult a doctor.
Contraindications and warnings of danzen
Treatment with danzen® is contraindicated in the following cases:
- Do not administer if you have an allergy or hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
- In patients with acute pancreatitis.
- If there is yellow degradation of the liver.

Avoid if you have:

- You should maintain close medical supervision if it is administered during pregnancy or lactation .
