What is cyprolysin?

Cyprolysin® is the name of a commercial medical product, which ismadewithvitamin B12as the active ingredient (including its hydroxylated and soluble form). Its characteristics are to act as an appetite stimulant and also helps withthe metabolism of essential nutrients.

What is cyprolysin for?

  • Cyprolysin® is a complex appetite stimulating medication, whichabounds in vitamin B12 (or cyanocobalamin), which performs essential functions such as stimulating the increase of red blood cells (blood), increased production of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), help with better performance oftissues, physical energy and nerve cells. It also has asubstance calledcyproheptadine hydrochloride, which has sedative and antihistamine characteristics on thecentral nervous system (CNS). (2)

    • The sensations of appetite.
    • The activity of the hematopoietic stem cell.
    • Anorexia.
    • Sequelae of anorexia.

Dosage and routes of administration of cyprolysin

Ciprolysin® has a unique commercial presentation and is in the form of a solution vial, with approximately 105 ml up to 210 ml or 220 ml of the cyanocobalamin(vitamin B12) components, with oral administration route. The most recommended doses of ciprolysine® are the following:

  • Adults:It is recommended to administer 1 to 2 tablespoons 3 times a day. The treatment should last from 4 to 8 weeks and it is necessary to do it 1 hour before meals.
  • Children older than 2 years:The treatment is similar, administering 1 to 2 teaspoons, 3 times a day for a duration of 4 to 8 weeks of treatment. Remembering that it should be 1 hour and a half before meals.
