Anapsique® is a drug that uses amitriptyline as an active ingredient , a chemical compound that belongs to the line of antidepressant drugs called tricyclics, which acts to modify brain chemistry.

What is the anapsique for?
- Anapsique® works by blocking the absorption of serotonin and norepinephrine by neurons, causing an increase in the levels of this substance in the brain , allowing the patient’s emotional balance as well as causing a sedative effect.
- It is used to treat:
- Major depressive disorder . (two)
- The depressive phase of bipolar affective disorder type I and II.
- Depression with psychomotor agitation.
- Reactive and endogenous depression.
- The dysthymia
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder.
- Psychotic states associated with depression.
- Enuresis.
- Panic attacks.
- Depressive disorders with manifestations of anxiety and somatization.
- Tobacco withdrawal syndrome .
- Insomnia , migraine and bulimia .
- Chronic low back pain. (3)
Dosage and routes of administration of the anapsique
The presentation of anapsique® is usually in a box with 20 and 50 tablets, with concentrations of amitriptyline 25 mg and 50 mg . The route of administration is oral and the informative dose can be as follows:
- Tablets in adults: For mild to moderate depressive states, an initial dose of 25 mg four times a day. For severe depression, a dose of 75 mg to 100 mg once daily or divided into two doses as tolerated is recommended.
- Tablets in adolescents and the elderly : One dose of 50 mg per day.
side effects of anapsyche
Therapeutic treatment with anapsique® may cause some of the following adverse reactions in certain patients :
- Some allergic reactions may occur due to contact with any component of the formula.
- Xerostomia, hyperpyrexia, urinary retention and dilatation of the urinary tract.
- Blurred vision, visual accommodation disorders and mydriasis.
- Myocardial infarction, stroke, AV blocks, arrhythmias, orthostatic hypotension.
- Hepatitis, nausea, epigastric pain, vomiting , anorexia, constipation , stomatitis, peculiar taste, and diarrhea .
- Decreased libido.
Important: Please stop treatment with this medicine and consult your doctor, if any symptoms or other symptoms not included in the list appear.
Contraindications and warnings of the anapsique
The use of anapsique® is contraindicated in the following cases:
- Hypersensitivity to any component of the formula.
- Patients with medication with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
- During the pregnancy period.
- During the breastfeeding period .
- Patients who have suffered from myocardial infarction.
You should know: It is advisable to provide your doctor with all the information about your health history, before starting treatment with anapsique®.
Avoid if you have:
- History of hypersensitivity with tricyclic antidepressants.
- Medication with tricyclic antidepressant drugs.
- History of myocardial infarction.
Warnings:
- This pharmaceutical product should not be administered to children under 12 years of age.
- Antidepressant medications should not be administered during the intake of alcoholic beverages.
- Pharmaceutical products such as anapsique® must be administered with a prescription or prescription.
- Keep this product out of the reach of children.
- Store this medication in a cool, dry place.
